Proposed New Constitution
WISC is required to re-register as an Incorporated Society and adopt a new Constitution that is compliant with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. At the AGM in April 2025, a Registration Sub-committee was formed to draft an updated Constitution that is compliant with the Act, guided by the current WISC Constitution adopted in January 1996.
Member approval of the redrafted Constitution presented here will be sought at a Special General Meeting on Sunday, 30 November 2025. Following this, a second approval of the final version of the new Constitution will be confirmed by members at another General Meeting in March 2026.

🌿 The WISC Walking Group invites you to a relaxed Family Bush Walk on Saturday, 24 January 2026 in beautiful Wainuiomata 🌿
Last year’s family walk was well attended by 30 happy adults & kids — come join us again!
👟 This year, we’ll be walking the Gums Loop track
😊 Ideal deal for families, kids, and new walkers
👨👩👧 Parents supervise kids; guides will support throughout
📍 Starting from Gums Loop Carpark
🕚 Meet at 11:00am
🚗 To get there, drive over the hill to Wainuiomata, follow Main Rd → Moores Valley Rd → Whitcher Grove → follow Reservoir Rd to end carpark
🎒 Bring the essentials: comfy shoes, water, light lunch, sun hat, and sunscreen

* Option 1 – Easy (1.5–2 hrs): Flat, relaxed, bridges, dam & small museum (optional)
* Option 2 – Moderate (~2.5 hrs): Includes Option 1 + uphill Tana Umaga & Sledge Loop
